MyLoanCredits(“we”, “us”, “our”), operator of myloancredits.com, provides personal loan services in Malaysia under the moneylending framework regulated by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). This Privacy Policy is our written notice under section 7 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data. Depending on how far your application progresses, we may collect:

• Identity and contact data — name, NRIC number, date of birth, nationality/residency status, address, phone number, and email address.
• Financial data — requested loan amount and purpose, income range, employment details, payslips, bank statements, EPF statements, and existing financial commitments.
• Credit data — information from credit reporting sources obtained with your consent as part of assessment.
• Communications data — records of calls, messages (including WhatsApp), and emails between you and us.
• Technical data — basic website usage information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

Providing the data marked in our application form is necessary for us to process your application; without it, we may be unable to provide our services.

We process your personal data to:

• assess and process your loan application, including verifying identity and affordability;
• prepare, execute, and administer your loan agreement, including collecting repayments;
• contact you about your application, account, or enquiries;
• comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering requirements and directions of KPKT or other authorities;
• detect and prevent fraud;
• maintain internal records, audits, and business reporting; and
• with your separate consent, send you information about our products and services.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose it, only for the purposes above, to:

• credit reporting agencies and reference sources, as part of assessment;
• our professional advisers, auditors, and service providers (for example IT, communications, and payment processing providers) bound by confidentiality obligations;
• regulators, law enforcement, and courts where required by law; and
• debt collection agencies or our legal representatives if your account is in default.

Where personal data is processed outside Malaysia by a service provider, we require protections consistent with the PDPA.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, including the life of any loan agreement and the retention periods required by law (including tax, anti-money-laundering, and moneylending record-keeping requirements). Data that is no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymised.

We take practical steps to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and disclosure, including access controls, encryption in transit, and staff confidentiality obligations. No internet transmission is completely secure; please contact us immediately if you suspect any misuse of your data.

Subject to the PDPA, you have the right to:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated data;
• withdraw consent to processing (which may affect our ability to provide services);
• limit processing of your data, including for direct marketing; and
• make enquiries or complaints about our handling of your data.
